What You’ll Be Doing:
Plans, organizes, coordinates, and ensures successful execution of the domestic and international trade and consumer shows and events.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works with marketing and sales leadership to plan yearly trade and consumer show details. Develops master calendar with locations and schedules.
  • Coordinates all pre-show planning activities including staffing plans, show schedules, meeting plans, booth space selection and configuration, furniture and carpet rental, set up, take down, travel arrangements, etc.
  • Work with product line managers and marketing leadership to determine product needs for each show and coordinates and tracks inventories, shipment, and usage of all products, literature, and material shipments to and from shows to ensure timely arrival and adequate supply amounts. Organizes order and shipment of show materials from both the Company and vendors to support marketing needs.
  • Determines personnel requirements for each show to ensure adequate employee coverage and logistics coordination.
  • Coordinates trade show staff new product training utilizing market team leadership.
  • Attends and represents the Company at trade shows. Provides ongoing input on activities to enhance brand image and maximize trade and consumer show return on investment.
  • Tracks invoicing and develops and maintains processes for tracking and reporting on trade and consumer show budgets and expenditures.
  • Schedules meeting room rentals for all other off-site events. Arranges special services including catering, hospitality needs, and ancillary events.

Skills and Experience You’ll Need:

  • Minimum of 5 years marketing or trade show experience required. An equivalent combination of education, skills and experience may be considered. BA /BS Degree in Marketing or Business preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to effectively express ideas and concepts both verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to effectively interface with and coordinate activity of multiple internal departments and external parties including exhibit personnel, advertising/marketing firms, vendors, show management and hotel event managers to ensure successful event/show execution. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize and manage details.
  • Adaptable and flexible; ability to work well under pressure while meeting critical deadlines.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers and to track and manage expenditures associated with shows to ensure adequate management of costs and budgets.
  • Excellent computer skills required including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook

Work Environment:
Requires periodic domestic and international travel. Ability to lift/push/pull boxes and materials up to 20 lbs. and up to 40 lbs. with assistance.
