Job Description
You will be responsible for responding to employee IT help requests, as well as maintaining and updating software, laptops, and desktops. Day-to-day responsibilities will include communicating with and training employees, opening, monitoring, and resolving support tickets. The ideal candidate will have excellent troubleshooting skills, patience for instruction, and will be customer service focused. The position will be expected to be intricately involved in the onboarding, maintenance, employee training, and growth of the company’s newly acquired ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics.

  • Provide help desk support and resolve issues for employees 
  • Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to help requests received  
  • Document and update internal technical procedures and “How-To” guides for employees 
  • Manage the computer set-up and training of onboarding new users  
  • Maintain inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses  
  • Perform workstation hardware and software upgrades and vulnerability remediation as required
  • Self-motivated, independent, highly detailed person with good organizational skills and experience managing competing priorities 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills 
  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience 
  • Prior work or internship experience in a help desk or related computer support role 
  • Experience with employee onboarding, training, and off-boarding 
  • Experience with workstation security 
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS operating systems 
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP system will be an advantage 
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 
  • Strong network and/or VoIP experience with underlying technologies such as Routing & Switching Protocols, TCP-IP, DNS, QoS, SIP 
  • VLANs, and WAN protocols and technologies 
  • Experience working with Windows Server, Active Directory 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies – Microsoft Teams and SharePoint 
  • Experience in Microsoft 365 Authentication and voice offerings 
  • Logical thinker with strong follow-up and follow-through 
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week
