Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate, laser engraver, Honing Machines, OD/ID grinder, ability to program CNC machines is preferred.
- Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and specifications.
- Programs OD/ID grinders by entering instructions, offsets, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
- Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
- Verifies settings by measuring positions.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude; cooperate with co-workers, management, internal and external customers, as applicable. Report any incidents of harassment to your Supervisor, Manager or Human Resources Manager.
- Work safely at all times and report any unsafe conditions or injuries to your Supervisor or Manager immediately.
- Other duties, as assigned by your Supervisor or Manager.

- Read and understand complex blueprints.
Education
- High school diploma or GED and up to four (4) years’ work experience.
Communication Skills
- Ability to communicate simple facts with courtesy and clarity.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to utilize geometry to solve machinery (i.e., engineering) problems.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
- Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
