Vortex Optics is looking for a motivated designer with a high standard for quality work to be a part of our growing company. Work with our talented Design Team and help execute a variety of projects to keep our brand fresh and dynamic.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Demonstrate “Customer First” mentality, for both internal and external customers
  • Create deliverables that are unique, on-time, error-free and exceed customer expectations
  • Be a creative problem solver. Define challenges, collect relevant information, draw insightful conclusions and develop marketing and graphic concepts that accomplish objectives
  • Contribute to a positive working environment and encourage creative development. Actively participate in open communication, inspiration, fresh ideas, and design critiques
  • Design for a wide variety of mediums including print ads, catalogs, tradeshows, in-store collateral, email, packaging, merchandising, apparel, direct mail campaigns and more
  • Collaborate with the Creative Team on projects for branding, design, photography, color, typography, etc.
  • Execute on-brand designs that are consistent and cohesive across all media
  • Stay current on design trends, continually evolve the brand with forward-thinking designs and  maintain Vortex as a leader in our industry
  • Own projects from concept through final sign-off and production
  • Lead photoshoots, set-up shots with props and backgrounds as needed
  • Familiarize with the product, target audience and competitor activities in the market
  • Maintain an advanced working knowledge of Adobe programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat
  • Prioritize and manage projects as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years professional experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must submit a portfolio with resume
  • Passionate about branding and creative story telling
  • Take creative direction and translate into concepts that achieve desired direction
  • Experience to execute a project from concept to production
  • Prioritize deadlines and work on multiple projects at once
  • Knowledge of production and printing techniques
  • Present concepts and reasoning
  • Strong communicator
  • Work cross functionally with internal teams
  • Excel in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Must be comfortable with dogs and guns
