Are you a problem-solver and people-person?  Vortex Optics is looking for a talented individual to add to our Consumer Sales Specialist team.  The role of Consumer Sales Specialist will be assisting customers in achieving their goals while afield or on the range, while hunting or shooting, birding or observing, using Vortex products. Working through various channels of communication, the Consumer Sales Specialist will provide the sport-optics industry’s highest level of customer satisfaction, while offering the best valued products available. What You’ll Be Doing
  • Works closely with end consumers, to include: civilian hunters and shooters, recreational outdoorsmen and women, law enforcement, military, and occasionally retailers.  Assist in answering technical questions, helping customers achieve overall success using our products for their desired application
  • Supports in-house Showroom and Range customers, along with those contacting us with technical questions by phone, email, chat, and social media
  • Provides a high-level of customer service while maintaining a professional manner
  • Trouble shooting/technical support of Vortex Optics products
  • Acquires and records product orders from consumers and retailers
  • Represents Vortex Optics at various trade shows around the country
  • Builds effective relationships and brand recognition by quickly identifying customer. expectations, and offering practical recommendations and advice
  • Analyze opportunities for continued growth and innovation of the brand, by identifying customer trends
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Hunting or shooting experience, as well as general knowledge of firearms and ammunition
  • Ability to demonstrate specific track record of success and high achievement
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, capable of communicating effectively with people of all organizational levels
  • Ability to use analysis, wisdom, experience and logical methods to make good decisions and solve problems with effective solutions
  • Highly motivated and ambitious in achieving goals
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude when dealing with customers and co-workers
  • Time management; allocates time efficiently to the most important issues. Completes work in a timely fashion
  • Ability to self-start, work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively multi-task
  • Time Commitment:  Average 50 hours per week, with occasional nights, weekends, and special events
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet Explorer
